Library Info
APDB is a dynamic library created using the Collectio software. It is intended for research on the Apophthegmata Patrum (AP), that is the sayings of the desert fathers and mothers, in Latin often known as the Verba Seniorum, as well as other related early monastic literature. They are preserved in manuscripts in all the languages of Late Antique and Medieval Christianity. The aim is to include as many sources as possible that contain collections or dossiers of AP and other related monastic literature from editions, manuscripts and modern translations.
